Pros
The office decor is good. And If you are very very very lucky, you may get a decent manager and a decent project. This is a good place for you if you have low self-esteem and are fine with not growing up in your career, or you don’t have any aspirations in life and are good with playing politics or you are fine working for managers who are underachievers , have never experienced studying in a premier college like the IIT and don’t know how to manage us or you are ready to kill your own self-esteem , self-respect and creativity to do anything to please your mediocre boss whose only qualification is that they can speak decent english. If you fit in the above description, then this could just be the right place for you
Cons
x Toxic and mediocre work culture Welcome to a game of thrones family. Starting with the Master of Whisperers, the HR team of the company. I have heard them gossiping around about people(every level in the company) and mocking them behind their backs (snack time, lunch time and so many occasions. You can watch a live episode of GOT unfolding in Quantiphi everyday ). There is a culture of gossip all around this company. The managers and the HR have made sure that the company does not have a professional culture. x Good people don’t stay long in this company There is a farewell every single day of the year. Good people whether its freshers or experienced don’t stay long. They get to know the reality of this company very soon. And the managers make sure good people run away as soon as possible x They hire from IITs but don’t have good managers to lead them To all my IIT mates, the managers here are not experienced and also very insecure . Their motto in life is to prove that IITians are good for nothing and non-IITians are very intelligent. From the day they hire us, they will keep telling us they have high expectations and we should be better than folks from the other colleges. But they will never clarify what exactly their expectation is. Anything we do is never enough, and anything a non-IITian does is out of the world. Nowadays IITians have no work at all. The non-IITians will get easier tasks/projects and they will receive awards because they didnt have to climb a hill. IITians hardly get good work, and surprisingly after a few months end-up getting a lower rating and salary hike much lower than the other non-IITian folks (because ofcourse we had no work or mediocre work or no clear expectations). You will find a lot of people sitting idle doing nothing other than taking stress pills or searching better jobs. Because, these insecure managers who themselves could never go to an IIT or any other good college are so jealous and biased against people from such premier colleges, they make sure they screw the careers of every single IITian in their team. Why do these guys even hire from the IITs then , just because their bosses asked them to? The managers themselves have average experience and knowledge , have no idea how to manage a team or project. But they are good at taking credit though , and unfortunately the founders dont try anything to improve the culture. Over all this, managers expectations change every week. You ever know what is the direction you need to take xFavoritism The company promotes a culture of favoritism. Founders have a few favorite managers who regardless of their performance get promotions. The managers then follow the same principle with their team. Unless you are your managers pet, regardless of your professional qualities, you will always be inferior and will never grow xMake a better choice To all my friends from IITs or any other good college, you can do much better in life and deserve a lot better after having made to such good colleges. If you don’t want to loose your confidence for life, better don’t make the mistake of joining this company. There is a reason they hire so many from IITs every year, because every year so many people leave
