Pros
- The partners know, and care about, everyone in the company. It's easy to be a "lifer" (unless you're a project manager). - Independent development is valued and nurtured, and everyone's input is valued. - Lots of opportunity for project work, including onsite at client sites, as well as work on their POS product. - Flex time.
Cons
- As of 2015, mission statement was unclear. Qualicom has historically relied on large systems development work for major clients, and as the IT landscape changes they are attempting to pivot into new areas, so things are currently uncertain. - No ability to work from home. - They eat project managers. - Some silo-ing from one partner to another. In a way Qualicom is a federation of six different companies.
