Pros
The location was nice and so were most of the people. The work was no different to any other company in the same sector.
Cons
Operations, operations, operations. Operations may be competent in terms of administration of the job, but the people and communication skills are off. I need to state that I worked there over a decade ago, when the company was operating under a different name, but as Operations is still running with the same people, and I'm certain they haven't changed, I need to say something to make people aware of them from the start. I still haven't forgotten the attitude. Operations communication skills are terrible. There's a difference between being tough and being an aggressive bully of which they are the latter. Operations person once left a message on my vm, saying don't play on the Internet. Very unprofessional as I was due to come into work that very same evening, during which time she could have taken me to one side. Deal with work matters AT work, not outside an employees working hours. When I was there, I was told Operations reduced one Supervisor to tears twice. I was also told by Operations that I had no idea how intimidating and aggressive I came across as, which to me, seemed a bit rich considering their own attitude. I admit to not having been the best employee whilst I was there, but Operations needs to straighten out, or just work for someone else other than the person they're married to. I rang Operations a few times to tell them exactly what I thought of them, and in retrospect, if they haven't developed an awareness I stand by what I said then, regardless of how it came across. They deserved it!
