Pros

Working from home is great.

Cons

The job started out fine but later (by about the 4th-5th month) became hostile. Manager micromanaged and was unfair. Misrepresentation. I found out that colleagues were quitting. High abstractors turn-over rate for this company and some managers will treat you like a number. Extremely high deductible for their health care insurance. Pay rate for abstractors is between $25 - $27/hour during training. This rate gets cut to about $12.50 - $13.50 for most workers once they begin live abstraction. Their business model is horrible and results in exploitation of staff, especially those at the lower level of the organization. Abstractors have very high work volume with short deadlines. Abstractors are highly stressed and overwhelmed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspectives with us. While we’re happy that you found value in working from home, we are very sorry to hear that your overall experience didn’t align with your expectations and the high standards we hold ourselves to. We deeply value every person who chooses to work for Q-Centrix and aim to create a supportive and positive workplace for all – I'm sorry to hear that we fell short of that goal for you. Our pay model is carefully designed to be both performance-based and data-driven, ensuring that team members are compensated fairly and competitively for their work. We believe in rewarding accuracy and efficiency while maintaining an equitable pay scale. Central to this approach is collaboration between team members and their managers—as it’s important that everyone understands their performance and related opportunities to enhance their earning potential. To facilitate this, we have introduced additional communication points during and after the onboarding process for managers and new team members to discuss this topic in greater detail. If you have any further questions about this, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Eve Hersh Sr. Director, People Experience eve.hersh@q-centrix.com

Pros

Flexible work schedule/lots of learning tools

Cons

Stressful onboarding process. Would be better if structured or spread out more. Timekeeping is tedious especially just for tracking the little things. Case rate pay part is stressful, I feel like it is pushing quantity over quality of abstraction.
