Pros
Good way to get entry level experience. PLM has many projects and it provides a good platform to get experience in various faucets of the oil and gas industry. Young and modern offices, it's nice to work with people who try new programs/apps and utilize technology. Steady paycheck.
Cons
Extremely hostile work environment. Middle management at all offices have minimal managerial skills, no people skills, are very aggressive and treat their ICs/employees with disdain. Pay is not competitive with industry standards. It is expected to work more than 8 hours/day, 5 days a week (sometimes 6-7 days/week), 52 weeks of the year for no bonus, OT, or even an old fashioned "thank you." Do not expect to advance if you are a woman. PLM is a good old boys club, women will only go so far. Communication between coworkers is highly frowned upon, plan to work at your desk in silence. Communication between management and ICs/employees is nonexistent, plan to have no idea what's going on with your project.
