Pros
The office is in a nice location with some beautiful views. It is also always busy and so time does not drag at all. Free parking - which is certainly hard to find in Los Angeles!
Cons
The independent contract position is really more of an employee relationship since the work is all done on site, with office resources, and with incredibly high supervision and direction of the CEO. The pay is below market and not well communicated from the beginning. Communication on the whole is very poor, and the CEO is quickly angered over the smallest of things. It generates a needlessly stressful work environment and it is no wonder they have such a high turnover of independent contractors. With that comes a lack of institutionalized knowledge and makes getting work done more difficult.
