Pros

The associates who work at the warehouse are some of the most down-to-Earth folks I've ever encountered. They come in to work and will be a great influence to you and your fellow associates. Though sometimes they can be rough around the edges and borderline nasty, I love almost everyone there! Supervisors are fantastic as well! They really do care, and will help you if you need it. I never personally had a problem with any supervisor in my year and a half working there!

Cons

Corporate. Corporate is the primary reason I didn't want to continue my career at Publix. The people over at Lakeland are the real bosses over you, not the person you report to. They have final say over everything, including your supervisor's words. It makes me livid knowing the people I interact with everyday don't get to truly do anything with your position because your baseline performance matters to the people 50 cities away from you. You can be a positive reinforcement for your associates, help out in other ways other than your job, or even just take a minute or two to talk with someone, it doesn't matter. Your percentage is the only thing keeping your job. I'm a person, not a number.

Pros

Amazing 401K, free stock after one year of employment, health insurance is very good for part-time employees if only getting it for yourself, management always approves time off requests, hours are always available, will work around school schedules, tuition reimbursement program, will reimburse you for gas for work-related expenses as needed and will put you in a hotel as needed for work-related reasons that are more than 50 miles from your home.

Cons

Not every store is the same, some stores are run better than others, some managers look down upon people with disabilities, and some see people with disabilities the same as someone without disabilities, they are very big about favoritism, you have to work a lot to earn a vacation, the company does not give out sick time and full-time gets the most benefits and is next to impossible to get full-time. Also, you practically have to be a former employee with a clean record or related in some way to a current employee to get a job with the company though Kentucky Publix's don't quite function that way.
