Pros

The only reason to work he is for a salary that is not bad. They pay you well, but they expect a lot back

Cons

There is a lack of effective management across multiple teams. Many managers seem to have limited knowledge of the project details and the overall business goals, which often leads to unrealistic expectations. Employees are frequently asked to work extra hours without additional compensation, which affects morale and work-life balance. Additionally, when delays occur, individual contributors are often held accountable, even when issues stem from broader challenges outside their control. Advancement opportunities, including salary increases and promotions, appear challenging to attain without established connections within the organization. Deadlines are often set without a realistic assessment of the resources needed, and there is minimal management involvement in understanding or streamlining workflows. This has resulted in employees taking on tasks beyond their primary roles, creating additional workload pressures. Improving communication, setting clear expectations, and providing fair recognition could significantly enhance team productivity and job satisfaction. A more structured approach to project management, coupled with active managerial support, would likely yield positive results

Pros

PPL is a growing organization that has seen a huge culture shift in the last few years. There is a lot of opportunity for people who want to come in and work hard and be successful. Recent hires have been really focused on making sure they match the culture and "why" of the organization, meaning that people are here for the right reason. Great remote-first environment.

Cons

With growth comes growing pains, because there are so many shifting opportunities, it is a lot to balance making sure everything is done correctly.

Pros

People really care and have a personal "why" attached to the mission of PPL. The culture is one of collaboration and building each other up. It's an "all hands on deck" atmosphere with a LOT of hands ready to help whenever it's needed. The opportunities to grow your career are endless, and leadership is very attuned to making sure you're headed in the right direction for the next step.

Cons

I think being fully remote has pros and cons - it's hard not to be able to build those in-person relationships sometimes, though they try to get teams together when possible.
