Pros

Great mission and product as an alternative to the big tech status quo Majority of staff are good people, easy to get along and very competent. Still opportunities to work on impactful projects given the size of the company Although quite office centric still a broad global team (mainly European) Flexibility ok if working remote. Less so if in an office location.

Cons

The company really does not value its people. This is a symptom of the attitude of the CEO. They seem to think they can "out hire" a bad culture. Recent layoffs were communicated as performance related (majority weren't). Many talented people either leave shortly after joining or burn out (this is very common). No management team bar the founding CEO and CTO. CMO, COO and senior Engineering directors have come and gone in the last 2 years. Hence the issues with culture, CEO has was too much input the majority of it a net negative. Hybrid policy is quite strict 3.5 (yes .5) days in the office per week.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Let us address a few points to clarify the situation. Firstly, we have recently filled several key leadership positions, including a new COO, VPs, and other senior roles, all of whom bring a wealth of experience and are committed to fostering a positive culture and driving the company forward. It's important to note that we hold ourselves to a high standard of performance, and while it's never easy to make such decisions, we part ways with employees when performance does not meet these expectations. This is done to ensure that we maintain a strong and effective team. We acknowledge that culture is crucial, and we're actively working on continuous improvements. The hybrid policy, including the specific in-office days, is part of our effort to balance flexibility with the benefits of in-person collaboration. We’re always open to feedback and are committed to creating a work environment where everyone can thrive.

Pros

I loved every minute of my time here, my team was so supportive, the work was interesting, and my managers recognized my hard work. Plus they had a great benefits package.

Cons

None that I can think of.
