Pros

Culture at the firm is laid back, with open access to upper management (MDs). I worked out of the New York, Chicago, Baltimore, and Kansas City offices and the atmosphere was consistent. This is a work hard, play hard type of firm and it great for those that are just graduating from College. The firm's brand recognition is rising, both from the perspective of competitors and clients.

Cons

Level of talent varies and all levels, up to Directors. It seems that this firm promotes people every two years, even though someone may not have all the skills necessary for the next level. This is particularly prevalent with Managers that have been promoted internally. The biggest issue I find with this firm is resources. As a Senior Manager, I have to staff projects and it's always been the case that those who are available to staff a project are not cream of the crop. This is because the "better" consultants are hogged by the Directors and MDs they are closer to, and the ones on the "bench" and are available are ones that have performed poorly. All that said, the environment at the firm outweighs most of the cons.

Pros

Great opportunity to grow as an individual based off of your technical and behavioral skillset.

Cons

If you are not assigned to a client, you could be on the bench which will affect your bonus.

Pros

Compared to other consulting firms, the flexibility in the management here has been amazing. In my experience, teams do whatever they can to get the job done but also acknowledge that we have lives outside of work and are accommodating to that.

Cons

Pay is not competitive compared to other consulting firms and leadership is not as innovative as they could be.
