Pros

None. The compensation is OK if you have a counter offer, they will typically meet you in the middle in terms of $.

Cons

I don’t see any reason to work here unless you’re extremely passionate about internal audit. Otherwise if you are trying to get into consulting this is not the right path. Protiviti does very small projects compared to the big four and is typically involved peripherally on clients. The only skills he will take away our audit security or just run of the mill status updates. The work is not interesting at all in the culture is toxic it’s a boys club with old white men in leadership.

Pros

Good WLB Great Bosses Health insurance & benefits are awesome Very flexible workforce Easy to climb up in promotions

Cons

Pay is below standard (Although I feel you still get paid decently for the area) If you're put on a production project, be ready to feel stuck. Management is very lost on where they want to head into the future. I am worried this company won't last much longer (Former arthur anderson) Can feel clique-y at times amongst peers (but this is not a problem of the company specifically)

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
