Pros

Working in teams can be challenging sometimes specially as an intern. At Protiviti, every team member will be willing to help you out from the first year consultants to the Managing Director. Work is challenging but very interesting, and it changes on a daily basis so it does not become redundant. You will be paired with a peer advisor, a career advisor, and an executive advisor, all who are more than willing to provide great advice to succeed in this career path. The company culture is extremely welcoming. I had a great experience and I accepted a full time position at the conclusion of the internship.

Cons

If you are unwilling to travel this can be an issue as many of the engagements require travel.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
