Pros

Strong earning potential with commission opportunities. High-quality, competitive product lineup. Solid exposure to product knowledge and industry experience. Good opportunity to build client relationships and develop closing skills.

Cons

Management goals are often misaligned with account managers and long-term client relationships. High-pressure sales targets increase annually, creating a sense that expectations arent never fully met. Competitive culture is encouraged but not effectively managed, leading to internal friction and added stress. Work environment can be high stress relative to compensation. While the role is framed as independent, day-to-day oversight can feel inconsistent with that expectation, even for high-performing contributors.

Pros

No weekends and free snacks

Cons

Probably the most unprofessional place I have ever worked. There is no HR - meaning, anything is said or done with no recourse. Management talks behind everyone’s back, including other coworkers, the owners of that location and their own clients. Pay sucked because it was spent on other things instead of being invested back into their employees. It’s giving high school with all the gossip and cliques except it’s worse because it’s adults and they are the ones in charge of your livelihood.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We have connected with the ownership team in the Atlanta market, and they have shared that they emphasize an open-door policy for any discussions, along with a strong focus on employee satisfaction and customer experience. While each location is independently owned and operated, this environment isn’t the right fit for everyone—but many team members in the Atlanta market have built long careers here, with tenure of up to 25 years. ProSource is committed to providing a professional and supportive workplace and strives to uphold those standards. Thank you, ProSource Wholesale
