Pay is below average with no other benefits. Overtime is mandatory, often driving >400 miles per day during 12-14 hour days that are meant to be 8 hours and no legal minimum lunch break. No fuel or hotel cards so you have to stump up a large part of your monthly wage packet (1/4 in my case) only for them to quibble your expenses every time. The managers think they’re the best thing to ever go into business but have little clue about leadership or morale. They could a take a lot of lessons from high profile successful business people. Some ‘managers’ think interrogation is an acceptable tactic to ask questions. Using pester power to get employees to do things they’re not comfortable with is, pathetic. Framing new employees is incredibly unprofessional.
Customer concerns are dismissed which results in very poor product service and a perpetually angry customer base. For a supposedly environmentally conscious business, running and buying new diesel vans isn’t a great look. Brand new £50k EVs and home chargers for the sales team but nothing else for others - a huge wealth gap. Some managers don’t believe in the product they’re selling and supporting and actively discourage the use of EVs. Don’t ever highlight poor/unethical practices because you’ll get a DCM (don’t come Monday) without warning and a threat of lawsuit if you’re honest about your experience.
A real shame because there are some genuinely nice people there.
