Pros

Awesome group! They know who they are and what they value, and that permeates every part of the company. They were welcoming and worked together as a team.

Cons

They're small, so I think some of their systems aren't really in order. It seems like some parts are still being developed or just don't exist.

Pros

-Unbeatable pay, and incredible benefits -Manageable caseload -Great community of coworkers and opportunities to meet, collaborate on projects and approach problems of practice together -Employers very clearly care about the health and wellbeing of their BTs and BCBAs -I love bonusly! -Neurodiversity affirming and assent-based learning; emphasis on ethical practice -Staff worked hard to tailor caseload so that I didn't have to spend too much time on the road

Cons

-A couple of BTs (not mine) felt a certain unwarranted sense of entitlement/had a lack of perspective regarding what could and couldn't be done for them, and left their BCBAs (and their clients) in the lurch. Yes, Prism does the most to support you, but it's not 100% guaranteed that as a BT you'll have hours available when one of your client goes on vacation for a week, for example. Chalk that up to the ABA game, baby!

Pros

The team culture is genuinely supportive. Coworkers are kind, collaborative, and willing to help one another, which makes day-to-day work feel less isolating. I feel encouraged by my peers and appreciated the emotional support that comes with working in a demanding field like ABA. There is a clear sense that the staff cares deeply about the clients and their progress.

Cons

The lack of a steady schedule and consistent hours makes it difficult to rely on this position long-term, as frequent changes and cancellations impact financial stability and work–life balance. Additionally, there are concerns around professional boundaries—particularly regarding the BCBA’s personal relationships with client families. The lines between professional and personal interactions often feel blurred, and clearer boundaries would help maintain ethical standards and protect both staff and families. There is also a significant need for more comprehensive training for high-intensity behaviours such as elopement and physical aggression. Even after a year with the company, there is still uncertainty around how to safely and effectively respond in these situations, which can be stressful and potentially unsafe for both staff and clients.
