Pros
Client projects are genuinely interesting and can be practice changing.
Cons
Aside from the above, the team is falling way short of expectations of a company that claims to put ‘people first’. Performance issues at all levels from junior staff to very senior management make the atmosphere in the company unbearable. Despite a very large HR department, unacceptable behaviours seem to be the norm and supported. Genuine skills are not valued. Brown-nosing the hierarchy is. The death knell of that company came with private investors and the merger with other companies, resulting in very little growth and collaboration due to non-overlapping skill sets. Project recovery will remain low unless you undertake serious negotiations with your clients and work with them to get paid for the work done as well as tackle performance issues and give proper training to your staff. As such the escalation process of project recovery is not going to have the expected effect.
