Pros
I have been employed with PreventionGenetics for just over three years and have felt both supported and appreciated by the company. Aside from a great benefits package and feeling as if I am part of a team, the company provides enrichment to boost and maintain employee morale. Some of these include educational seminars, management/leadership training, an attainable wellness plan along with a free use of a gym onsite and exercise classes, a yearly company picnic, along with smaller things like free popcorn Thursdays. Our company provides a valuable and important service, and it feels good to be a part of that. Also, with our rapid growth just over the three years I have been here, I feel a strong sense of job security.
Cons
With the company growing so rapidly, it's sometimes hard to feel like you know or have met everyone although I do feel there are attempts to try to get all departments to inter-mingle more (through events like the company picnic or employee driven activities like organized sports and potlucks). Also, with a lot of growth comes a lot of work; while this can sometimes feel overwhelming as more is added to your workload, I am not sure if this is actually a "con" or a "pro" (depends on the day). I know these are side-effects of a growing company.
