Pros
You get paid... minimum. Getting Paid Something is the only pro, but they will try to cut corners so that they don't have to pay you as much as they are actually supposed to.
Cons
I loved the people I worked with.... but the management was horrible. You get paid Nothing to clean up poop, vomit, pee, etc. You can and will work your butt off and only get a few cents raise in a year at the fastest, only if there is literally No One else because everyone else has left. You will work Every major holiday (4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.) and if you're lucky they'll follow with time and half for these major holidays, which is still not much and not worth it. I Love animals, but there are better jobs that you can have that are still rewarding and with animals.
