Pros
- Good managers. But depends which unit. - Friendly staff and team work - Great place to learn and get ahead - Affiliated with surrounding universities and educational institutions
Cons
- Upper management and HR show zero tolerance for attendance, regardless the reason (you could be lying in the er from traumatic injuries after a car accident and they'd hold it against your attendance or terminate you - true story). - Unfair treatment between employees (not all managers, but a large number) - Follow company policy when it suits their needs - Familial responsibilities are of no concern to them. - A majority of PCTs do not help the nurses and will do minimum pt care (managers allow them to get away with it) - Poor acuity (puts pts at risk)
