Pros

- Decent salary for biotech professionals - Office timings are 9-6 and 5-day week - Friendly atmosphere - Indore being a tier 2 city, cost of living is low

Cons

- Company growth and despite being a 20 year old company, strength is always 35-40, attrition of 40% every year. - Biotech folks hired through campus and put into SUPPORT team, there is no other team. Since biotech folks don't have jobs in the market, they take up the offer and later feels "fasgaye yaar". - Have a handful of softwares, for which you are supposed to provide support via email and call. This is the only work. Orelse you will put into marketing team..Imagine you are a bioinformatcics analysts and you are doing SEO stuff...Most painful part... - No professional growth for bio folks..only ur communication skills improve.. - Nearly impossible to switch job as the work you do there is not all appreciated in the market - Market expects NGS analysis but they don't have have any such thing. - Developers profile there is far better and they easily switch

1. Thank you for considering to write a review for PREMIER Biosoft (PB). 2. We at PB hire quality staff with the required skill set and knowledge of the industry. Historically, the attrition rates have been well below the IT industry standards. They have never been as high as 40%. 3. We are a product based company as opposed to a software contract company. 4. The strength of the company is determined by the throughtput of products that can be developed at any given point of time. 5. It is unfortunate to hear that Technical Support is being projected as a full time job requirement here. Offering support is just a very small part of the job responsibility that is performed by every Bioinformatics Analyst. Professional, reliable, effective and efficient Technical Support Services are the hallmark of any well running company selling products and we strive to achieve the very best by offering personalized services. 6. The other teams on the technical side of the company include software engineering, genomics, mass spectrometry and LIMS. 7. The domain in which we operate is scientific. A person with non-scientific background is unlikely to understand technical terms used in this domain. It is difficult for a marketing expert to learn the science and then create adequate scientific content. We therefore encourage the best of the scientific brains to cross train and utilize their scientific knowledge in the marketing realm. As a matter of fact, all the partner companies that we work with have Ph.Ds on their sales and technical support staff providing very efficient application support. We are also following this international trend. For more specialized marketing expertise, we hire outside consultants, to supplement the BA team's efforts. 8. We have charted a career growth plan for all the employees. People join us as Trainees, then get promoted to Bioinformatics Analyst (BA), Senior BA, Domain Expert, Manager and so on. 9. Communication is important for every sphere of your life, including our international operation. We strive to improve this soft skill with proper training. A technologist with excellent communication skills is a sought after candidate. 10. We have 3 domains in which we currently work, Mass Spectrometry, LIMS and Genomics. It is solely company's discretion in deciding which technology to expand. We have made two acquisitions in the past to grow organically which speaks in volumes about the company's expansion plans.

Pros

1.Good salary 2.Comp-offs provided for support

Cons

1.No leave system. Management will fight with you and threaten to cut your pay. 2. They don't give you confirmation citing some bizarre excuses. 3. This is a support job. They do not tell during placement/interview that you will have night shifts( more than once during a week) 4. Company culture is toxic. People are too egoistic and boast like they have made some path-breaking achievement here. 5. If you want career growth, this is not the company for you. 6. Management will spend more time justifying themselves here rather than doing some credible work.
