Pros

Small group, so what you do is highly visible. Very good and hard working engineers. Fully paid health insurance, dental, and vision. Amazing quality in products, and a highly innovatively work environment.

Cons

Workload levels are way up there, but salaries are in the lower end with a lot of unpaid and uncompensated overtime, so the main way they have to keep talent is by coercion. There is some history of retaining yearly salary "increments" based on accepting and signing progresively more restrictive Non-Compete agreements that have actually been legally enforced. Other than that... the management, (almost) all of it. Preh Inc's "President" is the worst human being I ever had the displeasure working with. Not only disrespectful, but condescending, and even nepotistic. The management also likes to bloat about being one of the "Coolest places to work", although this is mainly the product of a very good work environment between teammates by themselves.

Preh Response

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you did not enjoy your experience at Preh. Every month, during our All Employee Meeting, the President reviews our monthly and annual retention rate with our team members. We are pleased to announce that Preh has an exceptionally high retention rate and we strongly feel it is due to the positive company culture and excellent benefits package. We have implemented an Employee Referral Bonus Program where we offer a referral bonus of $1,000 to any employee that successfully recruits and refers a family member, friend, or contact to work for Preh. We have received very positive feedback from our team members on this value-added perk. We believe that our high retention rate stems from a strong leadership team. Our President and managers work diligently to ensure that employees are happy and taken care of. Each year, Preh’s leadership team administers an Employee Satisfaction Survey to every team member. Employees may choose to remain anonymous while providing honest feedback on their experiences working for Preh. Our President addresses every single comment from the surveys at our All Employee Meeting (including strengths and challenges) and encourages recommendations and input from our team members. The President has encouraged, supported, and led the administration for providing a strong benefits package in which health, dental, and vision insurance (along with other benefits) are 100% free to all full-time employees and their families. Employees and their families are eligible for these outstanding benefits on their first day of employment. The President and leadership team continue to strive to provide unique rewards and initiatives, in addition to an open and optimistic work environment, to create and maintain a positive culture at Preh.

Colleagues are great and there's a nice community feeling.

Cons

Projects working with overseas teams. This means early morning and late evening phone calls with team members.

Pros

The company was a great place to start, the people is very supportive and welcoming. Being new with some extra experience in this kind of suppliers is great. You can learn a lot of many different areas, and you can expand and grow as you please.

Cons

The are some points here, if you decide to join: - Generally speaking, nobody is caring about your career development. Hence, plan it yourself. - Nobody would care about your workload, look to own stuff to do. Be smart and get involved and do a lot of networking. - Plan your work, nobody would care about your extra time (or even if you work less time) as long you get the work done. Try to meet the expectations, without putting yourself on the line. - Be careful about getting your opinions, the best thing you can do is express neutrality and have always a good face to management. - Be prepared for difficult times, always have a plan b. In difficult times remember that as they said before: "the door is big" and "everybody is replaceable"
