Pros

- Really passionate and smart people - Interesting projects and many, many opportunities to learn - Tight-knit community where people care about growth and development - Positive mission that is the driving force for a lot of what we do

Cons

- Extremely slow sales cycle that is exacerbated due to Covid. - Struggle to get and retain top engineering talent which can slow product development - Certain products are built on antique systems which makes agile development difficult - Products lack long term vision and easily quantifiable value (General early stage Startup Problem)

Pros

- Smart, driven, ambitious people - Proactively building a culture with clear values like "speaking up" and "actively listening" - Challenging problems in both Machine Learning and Healthcare - Huge diversity in backgrounds and experiences makes working with the team exciting, always learning something new from each other - DS team committed to growing their skills and learning together, pushing ourselves - DS team specifically and Prealize in general really cares about the data, making meaningful inferences from it and using it to better people's lives. We're passionate about making a difference, not just an engineering problem - Great opportunities for growth. Leadership and managers take a proactive approach to mentorship, and feedback is frequent and bidirectional - Brilliant Clinical, Engineering, and Product teams make Prealize a unique company within Healthcare AI startups - Great response to COVID - work from home, extra recharge days, virtual happy hours, etc.

Cons

- Long-term goal setting is difficult, given we are still early stage and handling a lot of development work and client requests - Not a real downside, but be prepared to wear a lot of different hats, be involved in a lot of different projects you might not expect - At times we have a lot of different projects ongoing, and we need to get better at setting and explaining their priorities
