Pros

No pros for this company

Cons

Upper management lacks organization and the skill set of conducting a professional interview. They’re desperate to hire employees just to “test” their abilities with their false high expectations. If you think that you will be building a long term career at Prepaid Ventures, then you’re making a HUGE mistake. You will not have any opportunity to grow or advance. Michael Gasper is very dismissive and arrogant. You will never be trained on any aspects of your job. He is delusional as he expects you to magically learn everything on your own within a day. He is unorganized and does not know to explain anything. This is a very toxic work environment. They have a very high turnover. I would never recommend anyone to waste their time and energy here. Please make sure that you do your research before signing an offer letter. Do not leave your current job for this company — interview other employers multiple times until you find the right fit.

Pros

Prepaid Ventures is an amazing company to work for. You have the opportunity to grow/advance, you are not micro-managed and management truly cares about their employees. It is fast paced and challenging but there is always another team member to help you out if needed. This company is a TEAM and you are trained on all aspects of your job. Your opinion/ideas matter and are welcomed. They give you a sence of meaning and purpose.

Cons

Because it is a smaller company, health insurance is more costly, but atleast you will have insurance.

Pros

Always busy with something, challenging work, good IT department and call center staff. They are putting together the right pieces to grow fast and have a good outlook. Management rewards with compensation for good, hard work. (Just don't ask for it). If you do good you'll get noticed.

Cons

High Turnover Ratio. As much as they try to want you to believe you're part of the management / admin team, you're really not. There's just two people who make all of the decisions and often are angry about reports and project completions. However, it's really management that fails to lead in any way shape or form and then they end up blaming people for not "taking initiative." Management is out of the office 2-3 days a week at most months, and there are no administrative controls. You have senior management, and entry level workers, no middle management, except on the IT side. Benefits stink. 5 days PTO/sick time/ vacation a year. They can get away with that because they are just out of NYC. While I was there, Call center manger was fired without 2 week notice, and everyone thought he was doing great. If you butt heads with the boss, you'll get fired, which is not what they promote. They say ask questions, challenge us if you think we're wrong, then they turn around and fire anyone who asks too many questions.
