Pros

While our commitment to DEI, community initiatives and internal education is commendable, we are losing our competitive edge because our technology, tools and systems aren't keeping pace with the industry. We need to refocus toward operational efficiency to ensure staff has the tools required to do their jobs. We need to achieve functional parity with our competitors' technology before we should focus on DEI and volunteer programs. We need to stabilize our core engine to ensure we have the structural integrity to support these cultural value-adds.

Cons

When corporate initiatives—and internal education—are insulated from the feedback of those navigating our current technological limitations, we risk strategic drift. We need the psychological safety to report to corporate when our tools are failing us, and to refocus on what matters, without it being seen as a lack of alignment.

Pros

Was once a good organization

Cons

HUMAN RESOURCES Having to complete 70 hours of study outside of regular working hours—on top of the 20 hours of job-related learning during work time—is a massive ask for anyone trying to maintain a work-life balance. HUMAN RESOURCES created SMART goals (where the "M" stands for Measurable) while simultaneously using language that makes measurement impossible to define or achieve anything beyond expectations. Without a defined metric for "impact," your performance rating depends entirely on mood or personal opinion at the end of the year, rather than objective facts.
