Pros
The staff are very friendly and easy to get along with. The clients have been absolutely fabulous as well. Any questions or concerns are always addressed as quickly as possible. Scheduling is very flexible. I was able to work the hours I wanted while simultaneously attending school full time and raising a child.
Cons
The work provided for some clients is much more intensive for some than others. Considering the degree of difficulty with some clients, it would be prudent to increase pay for aides. They do pay mileage, but only from your first client to each subsequent client. Distance from your home to your first client is not paid, neither is distance from your last client to home, unless those distances are greater than 10 miles, then any distance over 10 miles is paid. Mileage pay is around $0.50/mile, which could be more. Also, no room for advancement unless you obtain a higher degree, in which case you are no longer employable as an aide.
