Pros
PortSwigger has gained incredible momentum over the past two years, and it’s thrilling to be part of a company that’s truly pushing forward. Investment, AI, a clear strategy, senior hires—you can feel the step change everywhere. Importantly it’s not growth at the expense of culture. The company still feels like PortSwigger, just sharper, more focused, and more ambitious. One of the biggest strengths here is transparency. Nowhere else I’ve worked would openly publish its full strategy, share the thinking behind it, and provide a detailed monthly metrics pack showing exactly where we stand. And it’s not about pressure or driving the bottom line—leadership genuinely wants people to feel informed and engaged. Having that level of visibility is both rare and incredibly motivating. The office environment is another standout. It’s a place where you can just walk up to anyone—no formal meetings, no bureaucracy, no cost centres and time sheets, no "that’s not my job" attitudes. People are happy to help, whether it’s a senior leader, an engineer, or a chef. It creates a truly collaborative atmosphere where everyone is invested in the company’s success.
Cons
Five days in the office is a lot, and it won’t suit everyone. But for the culture, the energy, and the sheer ease of getting things done, I wouldn’t change it.
