Pros

Honestly a great company to work for. —professional but still has that family feel. The client base and reputation in the market are fantastic, and the commission scheme and career progression are super clear. The culture is nothing like the usual recruitment environments; it’s genuinely supportive and people-first. And the CEO? Easily the most caring and understanding leader you could ask for—ambitious in the best way, always pushing for the best but in a way that’s actually achievable and enjoyable. If you want to grow in your career without the usual cutthroat recruitment vibe, this is the place to be!

Cons

Fast-paced, high expectations, but to be honest that’s not really a con. Just a note that you need to be driven and self-motivated to succeed. Recruitment in general can be challenging.

Pros

Looking back on my time here, there are a great deal of pros that came with working for Pod. Firstly there is a great training structure in both the process of recruitment, but also about the FMCG industry and the supply chain. I came straight from University and was provided with training that meant I adapted quickly and effectively in the role. Once settled in the role, you are given a great deal of autonomy to run your own desk. You are also exposed to industry experts in FMCG as the reputation of Pod (and their senior management team) means that people are interested to hear what you have to say and work with you. The values of the company are not just a marketing gimmick- the whole team live by them and you do get a real sense of collaboration across the business. The senior management and operations manager are approachable and down to earth. They give honest and constructive feedback and provide an environment where you develop organically rather than being forced into unrealistic targets. There are also excellent socials and events that are put on throughout the year (which I miss)

Cons

Not everyone left on time, but that is hardly a con

Pros

Coming from another recruitment Company with several years' experience, the aim was to grow and develop in an environment where transparency, people, performance and career development were all valued equally - something extremely rare in recruitment from my personal experience and that of those in my network at other businesses. It is more than possible at Pod - of course, as with any recruitment company, you need drive, a willingness to learn, an ability to think on your feet for what is essentially 'your business' within a business, but Pod is a fantastic place to enjoy all of this and more. You're treated as an adult and not a KPI machine and everything is developed through high-quality training - whether it be a deeper sense of ownership, understanding of how you like to work and why or simply to get on with great recruitment with colleagues you truly enjoy working with, it's all possible. Unique business.

Cons

More focus on new business development to ensure the business grows as best but as quick as possible - this is already being changed though.
