Pros
The friends you make are the reason you wake up to deal with another day of abusive customers and brown-nose managers. The free canteen had different options. The base pay was decent.
Cons
The "work/life balance" was a fantasy, the promotions/internal job changes were reserved for friends and suck-ups, the higher ups cared more about keeping the stats low than hiring more staff until it was too late, pizza parties, mental health support (this might have changed since COVID). The hygiene of staff was disgusting and after I followed someone (not intentional) who hadn't washed Thier hands to the canteen, I never ate there again. The customers.
