Pros

Pleasantrees is changing the face of the cannabis industry in Michigan and beyond. Operating in such a "new" space that carries a complicated past (the War on Drugs) is not easy. Add in the complexities of being a start up and the task gets even harder. Yet the leadership team at the company is committed to not just growing, but doing so the right way. Simply put, the people here care about each other and their families, which can be seen throughout the entire organization. Working at Pleasantrees is an absolute joy and the horizon looks incredibly bright.

Cons

Naturally, start up culture presents unique challenges. Considering that what we do is still presently not legalized at the federal level, even the simplest things require more effort and jumping through hoops. We often say that "everything is harder in cannabis"; this is not a negative attribute of the company, but rather the industry as a whole. As laws continue to change, hopefully the path becomes smoother. That said, the team at Pleasantrees seems to be doing a good job at navigating the rocky seas in the meantime.

Pros

You learn the ins and outs of what a fulfillment team necessitates, attention to detail, organization, and communication are key. You get amazing experience in detail oriented and time sensitive project management. The current team is a close-knit crew and knows we thrive or fail as a group. When the industry thrives then it can be a great place to work as there isn't a lack of work to go around.

Cons

Pay is below national and state average for this position as of this review and given state pending tax increase the industry is in a slump. Very fast pace and metal fortitude is a must have given the importance of the job we do daily, can be very taxing on the mind and body.
