Pros

The colleagues you work with daily are highly skilled and dedicated, maintaining strong work ethics. However, morale has significantly declined as layoffs often follow acquisitions. Employees were initially informed that raises would be paused to preserve jobs, but further layoffs occurred before raises were reinstated.

Cons

There is no formalized structure for promotions, and favoritism appears to influence decisions in many departments, often overshadowing hard work. If you choose to join the organization, it’s wise to have a backup plan in place, as this reflects the realities of corporate America.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the skill and dedication of your colleagues—our employees are integral to the products and services we offer. We understand your concerns about morale and the impact of certain organizational decisions. These are difficult realities, and we are deeply thoughtful about the impact to employees. We recognize these changes can cause distress during the transition. While some strategic decisions are necessary to ensure long-term sustainability, we remain committed to creating opportunities for internal growth and development. To support this commitment, we’ve invested in tools and initiatives to strengthen internal mobility. One example is the rollout of our career framework, which provides employees with a structured system outlining clear pathways to advance within the company. We hope this tool can be used during structured career conversations and one-on-ones to support Planviewers to grow their careers here. We're excited about the work we have done in this space but understand there is more to do and are committed to maintaining focus on this initiative.

Pros

Working at Planview has provided me with the opportunity to grow professionally while collaborating with talented and supportive teams across the organization. As a Senior Global Training Consultant, I’ve had the chance to work closely with customers around the world, helping them adopt solutions that improve portfolio management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. One of the things I value most about Planview is the culture of collaboration and innovation. There is a genuine willingness across teams to share knowledge, support one another, and continuously improve the customer experience. I also appreciate the flexibility to explore new ideas and technologies, especially around AI-enabled learning, customer enablement, and modern training approaches. The company encourages continuous learning and provides opportunities to expand both technical and professional skills. Over the years, I’ve been able to deepen my expertise in enterprise portfolio management while also contributing to new initiatives that help customers realize greater value from the platform. What has kept me here is the combination of meaningful customer impact, strong team relationships, and the ability to continue learning and evolving in my role. It’s rewarding to work for a company that values innovation, customer success, and employee contributions.

Cons

Like many growing technology companies, Planview operates in a fast-paced environment where priorities and initiatives can evolve quickly. At times, balancing multiple projects and organizational changes can be challenging, especially in customer-facing roles that support global teams and clients across different time zones. Because Planview continues to innovate and expand its product capabilities, there can also be a learning curve with new processes, tools, or strategic initiatives. However, for individuals who enjoy continuous learning, collaboration, and adapting to change, these challenges can also create strong opportunities for professional growth and skill development.
