Pros
The staff and team members outside of senior leadership and HR were truly exceptional to work with. The environment was consistently supportive, collaborative, and welcoming. Team members were highly receptive to new ideas, eager to improve existing systems, and empowered individuals to take ownership and drive meaningful change. I also want to mention that the co-founder’s wife, who is an outstanding presence within the organization. She consistently went above and beyond to support staff and foster a sense of inclusion, demonstrating a level of care and commitment that is rare to find. She is an absolute gem of a person.
Cons
Unfortunately, management and HR was often inconsistent and unprofessional. There were numerous instances where leadership communicated one plan but acted in direct contradiction to it. Recently, the company began mandating increased in-office attendance without providing adequate workspace, resulting in employees having to work from the cafeteria. Additionally, some managers displayed inappropriate behavior toward staff, including yelling and showing a clear sense of entitlement. Management was generally unreceptive to feedback or challenges, regardless of how constructive or well-founded, and any challenge was often met with dismissal and termination. There is also little to no diversity in the staff.
