Pros
Great atmosphere in the Birmingham office(although i'll elude to this in cons). Close to home and 3 days in 2 days WFH Good breakfast provided in the office.
Cons
Where to begin... Firstly - Birmingham office being made to feel like the unwanted step child, we were made to feel like we weren't wanted in the business and the idea of being "Back Office" was very much enforced. Lack of managerial input - in 9 months of being at planet , i only saw my manager 3 times(twice was in my first week). Constant repetition of the same questions on the same morning call every day(This call wasn't needed). They didn't have a clue about their actual role(I don't know what they did day to day). Don't have a manager for the Birmingham office , if the don't come to the Bham office. Serious Micromanaging. Lack of training - this caused a member of the team to be fired, this wasn't entirely their fault but manager took no blame for it(Leaving a team of 2 to being just me for a good 3 months until i left). Lack of Progression - Despite being overqualified for the role(I took it with the promise of progression), the continued promise of progression never happened. A VP of finance who i hardly heard from(based in an office by himself). Only was the promise of progression offered after i had resigned. HR - Clear they are there to protect the company not actually look after the employees(Although certain members of the team are actually incredible people).
