Pros
- Karen, the GM was kind and helpful. - Mark, the DM, was also pleasant and helpful. - Flexible scheduling. - Many of the regular customers were great! - Some Shift Managers were great leaders, or at least good coworkers. - Deliveries are often simple and never more than 15 minutes away. This part is easier than app-based delivery services. - Many coworkers were helpful and pleasant to work with. - Work culture was better than many of the restaurants and customer service roles I have worked in, and I worked in the industry over a decade. - Easier to file taxes than app-based delivery services.
Cons
- Pizza Hut upper crust would rather hoard their money than look out for the well-being of their crew by allowing better wages or fixing their locations actual issues. - Did I say air conditioning issue? It is SWELTERING in the Glenburnie location during the Summer. It's the main reason I left. Not just typical kitchen heat, it was BAD and made my health conditions flare up. - Side work is simple but can be difficult to manage in the heat of the Summer, or on a light crew day. Just do your best. This is a con that you don't have with app-based delivery services. - Some coworkers were less than helpful, but that is typical of any service job. The worse ones were not kept for long, though. - Base pay is not great. Drivers can do well because of tips, but it doesn't seem to be as worth it for some of the other positions - especially cooks.
