Pros
Great variety of projects, touching nearly every commercial and non-profit sector. Many of the clients I had were excellent and the work atmosphere was very casual. There is also decent upward movement in the company, despite its small size.
Pinnacle also provided generous training and the encouragement to learn new things allowed me to develop very marketable technical skills.
Cons
The company relies too much on a mostly-legacy software suite known as SAS. It's cumbersome, expensive, slow performing, and insanely complex to install and maintain. That last piece is where the company makes a lot of its money, but the focus on SAS sometimes comes at an expense to other developer positions.
The pay could also be better. To Pinnacle's credit, it is my experience that if you lay out your case and approach them about it, you can generally reach a decent compromise.
