Pros

- Unlimited PTO - Large health and wellness stipend - Flexible hybrid model (had the ability to go in office when you wanted but no requirements) - Engaging in-office culture - Worked with some very talented and kind peers

Cons

A prime example of a CEO who preaches the value and importance of his people, only to keep the wool pulled over their eyes and snatch the rug right out from some of the most talented employees. Pillar4 pulls you in with their flexible culture and attractive benefits, but don’t let it fool you. Leadership and management are so out of touch and under-qualified for their roles, and this company will avoid transparency with its employees. Don’t assume they are in the green just because they tell you so. That approach has led to massive layoffs with absolutely zero notice or warning. Pillar4 is a money first, people last sinking ship that is continuing to take on more and more water. If you’re smart you’ll pass on them.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, flexible work schedule, occasionally interesting projects

Cons

No organization in leadership, complete lack of transparency, laid off 65% of company in a single Zoom call due to organizational and leadership issues (note: all high-paid leadership positions remained and continued to take vacations etc). Regularly moved staff to different roles without consulting them or giving any heads up or preparation. No clear progression for career growth; promotions were often promised and never realized or delivered upon. Projects were often quick and poorly completed, then needed to be returned to to "polish up" because original timelines for project were unattainable. Leadership was a boys club of middle-aged white men who often spewed nonsense and had no real idea what their teams were doing.
