Pros
- Food service has the best schedule, I could argue I got into the backcountry more often as a food service worker than as a ranger! - Being a ranger is really a life-changing experience - Great location, great people, great leadership (in both departments) - Lasting friendships from every summer
Cons
- Pay isn't phenomenal but housing/food/experience makes up for it - Can be a little weird being a woman in the male-dominated jobs or when you run into a crew that is obviously let down by getting a female ranger, but you can make the best of it
