Pros

Directors and below care, many employees who are hard workers and really do want to make an impact in the company

Cons

Top down decision making, too many upper management positions, values not practiced, no career growth opportunities. Toxic work culture full of fear. I know of several employees who have gone to HR about upper management verbal abuse, only to be retaliated again with PIPs. Those who went through this were eventually forced out. Divisive CEO whose politics is blatantly obvious to the employees, and will pick and choose who and what to support based on his political leanings.

Pharmavite LLC Response

We are sorry to hear that this is your experience, but it’s important to note that it is not reflective of the experience of your colleagues. In our recent Great Place to Work survey in which we secured certification, 90% of respondents said executives fully embody the best characteristics of the company. Consistent with the ratings of the Top 100 Companies, 69% of respondents said management includes people in decisions that affect their jobs or work environment, and 75% of respondents said management genuinely seeks and responds to ideas and suggestions. In fact, our top engagement driver is "I feel that I belong at Pharmavite" with 81% of respondents reporting so. We're sorry you don't feel that way and encourage you to explore other options. Beyond the data, it is important to highlight that we take all employee complaints extremely seriously and ensure allegations are appropriately investigated. The Company also prohibits retaliation against any individual who in good faith complains of perceived harassing or discriminatory conduct, participates in a Company or agency investigation into such complaints, requests a reasonable accommodation, or engages in other protected activity. Finally, we are deeply proud of our efforts to give back in all communities in need across the United States, including a recent donation to the Red Cross to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene, which we decided not to publicize but will be sharing internally with employees.

Pros

This is a solid, well-run company with a long history of strong performance. That shows up in consistent bonus payouts, disciplined financial management, strong innovation, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. There is strong scientific backing behind our products and no questionable accounting or shortcuts. The culture is one of the biggest strengths. It’s people centered, non-hierarchical, and genuinely open. Leaders are accessible, including at the executive level. I don’t need layers of permission to have meaningful conversations, and performance and results are communicated transparently. There’s a strong sense of trust and accountability across teams. There are good growth opportunities for people who are thoughtful about their careers. Advancement is supported, and lateral moves are viewed positively as part of long-term development rather than a step backward. Work-life balance is respected, and flexibility is real, not just talked about. The supplement industry itself is a growth space, and the company is well positioned with solid innovation and strong customer relationships. Leadership at the executive level is strong, and what stands out is that leaders at all levels are willing to roll up their sleeves when needed. Overall, it’s a fun place to work, and after many years here, I can honestly say I still enjoy it and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

Cons

Like many established companies, there is a need for continued and increased investment in IT and systems modernization. Some processes and tools lag where they could be. You also need to be comfortable with ambiguity. Things don’t always come with perfect clarity or structure, and that can be challenging for some.
