High performers are taken for granted and will eventually burn out. Although pay is competitive for what your title is, it falls short of what will be asked of you.
The executive team, HR, and most of upper & middle management are completely out of touch and/or unconcerned about the dismal morale that most people are experiencing there. If you’re considering joining Pharmavite, especially at West Hills, expect to be overworked and under-recognized...and know that you’ll most likely have to leave the company if you ever want to advance in your career. Rarely do people get promoted from within despite the award winning Vital Leadership program that HR has instituted. It's a great program, but management doesn't apply it as intended. Over the last couple years, I conveyed to management and HR on multiple occasions that several people on my team (myself included) had been working above and beyond our job descriptions for far too long and that it was unsustainable...sadly no action was ever taken, so it forced my hand to look elsewhere and leave.
Also, be aware that there are 50 years worth of self imposed processes that slow everything down. And because there has been so much turnover in the last year, nobody knows how any of it works. The chaos will only get worse in the coming years due to the new over-complicated PLM software they’re implementing.
And if you’re looking for a marketing position, know that decisions are made based on fear in that department. The CMO and CEO have both instilled so much fear over the last couple years that everyone is deathly afraid of how they’ll react to anything and everything.
It’s really sad...I never imagined writing a review like this. I had such high hopes when I joined Pharmavite, but it was a painful place to work, particularly since mid 2019...which is saying a lot considering how well the company has done during Covid.
