Pros

- most people are nice enough - continual investment into research and equipment - very smart colleagues

Cons

- incredibly poor work-life balance - burnout inducing - understaffed - over worked - A LOT of favouritism - you won't get recognition unless you absolutely scream about it - unless you are a 'red' personality, you're not deemed valuable (discovery insights have blown up the ego of many individuals)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would like to discuss further your views on recognition and favouritism - this was disappointing to hear. Could we ask that you contact HR at HRInbox@pharmaron-uk.com. We would like to have a strictly confidential discussion and understand why you feel this way please. We are growing and expanding rapidly so progression should not be slow for anyone in our organisation.

Pros

it’s a job and you get a paycheck. That’s about the only pro.

Cons

This place is a joke. Upper management is completely absent and out of touch. The Director of Operations is a mean and condescending woman who doesn’t have a leadership bone in her body and it just trickles down from there. Entry level positions receive little to no training, are immediately thrown into the mix because of how poor the resource management is just to be scolded and yelled at when they inevitably make mistakes. There is no sense of community because the turnover rate is so high that entire groups are replaced almost annually. Compensation is far below industry standard. 80% of the work is done by 20% of the employees so you are destined to be either one of the many people who show up every day to sit and rot at their desk or if you make the mistake of showing any promise you will quickly have 3 jobs worth of work piled on your plate. If you have any other options or you can hold out for another opportunity I would highly advise it.
