Pros

- Exposure to the fashion industry - Work with talented, friendly and amazing co-workers

Cons

- Always thinking about saving two cents vs employees and new ideas - Old-school mindset about business - Departments across the whole company are understaffed and underpaid - Bonuses & raises come at one time of the year, no exceptions - Dress code - Employees are not cared for - Stress-levels are crazy First off, Nike Swimwear is not on Nike's campus or under Nike's leadership. If you're looking to break into the fashion/apparel industry in Portland, look elsewhere. The worst thing about Perry Ellis International (PEI) was leadership, aka the old and new CEOs, aka father and son. They are not digital-first CEOs and think that the internet ruined their strategy for success. Budgets are razor thin in the company BUT leadership expects the world. Co-workers frequently quit but never get replaced. Why? In leadership's head I'm sure it's something to the effect of, if we can save a year's salary and work will still get done, let's do it. Who cares about employee satisfaction or stress. Leadership needs to get rid of that ridiculously old Jantzen canopy outside the Nike Swimwear building and throw up a Swoosh. Then take some money and make the work space live and breath Nike to inspire staff.

Pros

From the interview process through onboarding, everyone has been welcoming, professional, and supportive. The leadership team has demonstrated a clear commitment to customer experience, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. I was particularly impressed by the emphasis placed on customer satisfaction, process improvement, and empowering teams to succeed. The role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting well-known brands such as Original Penguin and Callaway Golf Apparel while working alongside talented professionals across multiple departments. While I’m still new to the organization, I am optimistic about the future and excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

Cons

None that I can see.
