Pros
Strong opportunities for career growth, internal advancement, continuing education and introduction to new disciplines depending on your interest and passion. The company invests in its facilities, employees desires to pursue areas of health & business they find passion in, and overall work environment, creating a professional atmosphere that supports teamwork and education. Managers are trusted to lead their departments with a varying degree of autonomy, allowing for ownership, accountability, and ideas for innovation. Leadership overall is generally accessible, and there is a focus on continuous improvement. The team represents the appreciation and dedication to health and helping people. Lastly, I have personally experienced support as it relates to tough life (non-work related) circumstances that have presented during my employment here. I received genuine understanding and compassion from all departments, including the CEO. This remains a cornerstone to my respect for the values the company has built over 20+ years.
Cons
The pace of growth and scale can create shifting priorities and the need to adapt swiftly. Teams often are expected to operate efficiently with, at times, leaner resources compared to a strictly corporate environment, which can require flexibility, self starter mentality and a proactive mindset. For individuals who enjoy growth-oriented, innovative environments, these challenges are typically outweighed by the opportunities they create. It may not be ideal for someone who is looking for a static, non-growth oriented, "do the bare minimum to get by" work experience.
