Pros
Customers and co-workers are the only things that make this place even remotely tolerable. Despite what others have chimed in about Vista (PeopleAdmin’s new investor), I actually think Vista has mostly been a positive. As someone who was here both before and after the acquisition, I’m actually impressed with many of the process changes we’ve made here since Vista bought us. Vista has a proven track record of making companies very, very profitable through repeatable best practices. PeopleAdmin is in good shape from a financial perspective, but not so much from a culture outlook.
Cons
Vista isn’t the problem at PeopleAdmin, it’s the CEO they’ve put in charge. Books could be written about how he’s completely bungled the running of this company. The man lacks even an ounce of authenticity. He has a very practiced form of charisma that reeks of insincerity and he personifies every negative stereotype of a used car salesman (sorry used car salesmen) – he’s arrogant, condescending, clichéd, pretentious, self-important, overly aggressive, disrespectful, and so on. His trite motivational style inspires trust and devotion in only the most gullible of employees. The man is completely polarizing – employees either loathe him or they brown-nose him. Few have any real genuine affection for him.
