Pros

Pay is OK, work is still pretty varied which makes things interesting. Work/life balance is mostly OK if you are fine with constantly being behind.

Cons

I'm not sure how many more times I can take hearing that leadership has "no faith or confidence in my ability to deliver" when we are, in fact, delivering. Extremely demotivating and at times even offensive. The pay has dropped significantly with reductions to stock awards that lined up with the large drop in stock price - my "total compensation" has reduced by around 30% since the changes, plus they even changed the medical deductions to make that cost more too. I'm frequently required to attempt to lie to my people when benefits drop again, getting talk tracks for trying to make bad things sound good (I frequently end up hearing "well at least we don't do layoffs" a LOT as the only reason for people to not leave - and has been my reason for too long as well). Leadership is quite toxic and starts at the CEO level, constantly changing things like budgeting methodology done in closed-door meetings where I only find out after they are already mad I did it the old way. I could go on and on but it just really isn't the amazing place it used to be.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

There used to be many. By the time I left all of the pros had been phased out. The only pro was allowing some people to stay remote- but if you wanted to advance in your career you would be forced back in office.

Cons

Low pay. Micromanaging. Hiring leadership from outside Paylocity and even outside of the industry. Major and extreme departmental changes rapidly. Change is a part of business but in six months my role became unrecognizable. I was there for five years and had planned to be there for much longer. This last year was terrible. Low communication from all leadership. Higher and higher expectations of employees with no bonuses or pay raises to accommodate. My regional director was forcing people out and speaking badly about employees regularly.
