Pros
The company is fiscally responsible. The work in the trenches has largely unchanged day-to-day. The culture in terms of people working with people remains good and the cross team software development efforts are pretty good. Executives expressing simple appreciation a few months ago in Slack for the managers was very eye catching in a good way.
Cons
Across the board cost reductions that appear intended to enhance shareholder value are not great and have not been recognized beneficially in the stock price past 4-5 years: TechCon, manager onsites, elimimated-cheap team onsites, TechCon, slow hiring replacements, passing along greater healthcare costs, reducing RSUs grants. It’s a lose-lose for employee-shareholders because it’s not affecting the stock in a good way.
