Pros

The pros are mostly in the past. Paylocity was a company that I was proud to be working for. The pros currently are just the benefits package. That’s all for me.

Cons

The cons have started to rear their ugly faces in every day life at Paylocity. Middle management has no idea of what’s going on during the day to day business operations. In addition, the pay transparency that we pride ourselves on is such a useless tool as for most roles, they will keep you at the minimum end of the spectrum regardless of performance. I was OK with the pay as I was hired on as a full time remote employee and now they’ve placed a RTO order for 5 days a week for all operations employees within a 50 mile radius. Paylocity loves to claim to support employee wellbeing, “the future of HR,” and the such, but then they follow suit to literally all corporate policies that employees hate. The CEO drinks his own koolaid too. Don’t forget that one! Last, but not least, the work load is absolutely insane and turnover is high.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
