Pros

The environment is really young. The company outings are also really fun.

Cons

When I first started at PCTY I was so excited. They paint it up to be a great place! However the environment is toxic and will leave you drained at the end of the day. There is a huge lack of diversity in NSS. The recruiters also lie about everything from commission to turnover. There is no one making 80k in NSS. That was one person and they are considered a legend. It's closer to 40-50k on average. The commission is absolutely ridiculous. $20 an appointment is not great especially after taxes. They also lied in the interview and training about their turnover rate. This is glorified telemarketing that they try to market as "entry level inside sales". There are people quitting almost every week and you will see new people in for interviews almost every day. The environment is very much like high school. Lots of bullying, cliques, sexual harassment and gossiping going on. Also unless you are a fan of partying/drinking/doing drugs you may feel pretty isolated. In NSS almost anything goes. That also includes racist remarks that you are expected to "suck up" or play along with. One guy quit because his team kept making anti-Semitic comments. You may also hear people dropping the "N" word because it's in the explicit music they play throughout the office. Most of these Glassdoor reviews are fake. They encourage employees to leave positive reviews and some managers write them themselves. Don't believe the hype. If you have a bachelors I would encourage you to seek employement elsewhere seeing as even customer service centers pay more than Paylocity does

Pros

Great benefits; 90% of the ppl that worked there were the best and really did great work.

Cons

Made employees choose between having MLK Day off or Juneteenth- both which are federally recognized holidays. Excuse was that our customers are open on those days so we need to be open. So as a company, we had to pick which would be a paid holiday and everyone chose Juneteenth because it was in the summer. I think we got a floating holiday to use for any other holiday we wanted off that wasn’t recognized by the company. As you can imagine, this racism was prevalent in management/leadership. My team was the most diverse team and we all got restructured/laid off. There’s a lot of ego and control issues in this company, especially in Talent Acquisition.
