Pros

Their brand is trendy and the swag is fun. That's about it.

Cons

The digital inside sales team is a disaster. The managers have zero clue how to drive sales or understand a workable sales culture. They are constantly changing policy and sales technologies used. They don't listen to feedback and worst of all, they DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO CREATE YOUR OWN CONTENT to send prospects. If you like an org to do everything for you for little pay (and stolen commissions - they take all they can), Paycor is for you. If you like to be hand held and not use your own creativity, Paycor is for you. If you like a culture of horrible people who all hate their lives because their pay sucks, Paycor is for you. They also have employees who have created public social media pages outting and blasting other employees. The culture is abysmal and only getting worse - RUN! Oh and I forgot to mention, 22% of my deals that I won either stalled, did not start, or had horrible experiences with the onboarding team. So, no matter how gifted a seller you are, they will do what they can to screw up your commissions. Oh, and Paycor doesn't care. They do all they can to make sure you DONT get paid out.

Pros

Paycheck hits on time every two weeks.

Cons

I wanted to like working at Paycor. The product has potential and the pitch during the interview process sounded promising. But the reality of day-to-day life here is a far cry from what's advertised. Micromanagement is rampant. Leadership tracks every minute of your day — from login times to bathroom breaks — yet somehow trusts no one to make even the smallest decision independently. You're treated like a number, not a professional. There's zero autonomy, and any attempt to take initiative is quickly shut down. The leadership team is deeply out of touch. Many managers got their roles through tenure, not merit, and it shows. They struggle to answer basic questions about the industry, lean on buzzwords in meetings, and consistently make decisions that anyone with relevant experience would know to avoid. When things go wrong, blame rolls downhill fast. The culture is toxic and cliquey. If you're not in the right social circle, advancement is nearly impossible. Favoritism is blatant, feedback is rarely constructive, and the "open door policy" is a joke — speak up and you'll find yourself quietly pushed out. The work environment doesn't help either. High turnover means institutional knowledge constantly walks out the door. Morale is low, burnout is high, and HR seems more interested in protecting the company than the employees.
