Pros
Friendly communication during the hiring process.
Cons
Before joining the company, I asked HR about the working schedule and whether overtime was required. I was told that the schedule was a standard 9:00 AM–6:00 PM workday and that there was no overtime.
Later, I found out that the team was expected to work on weekends. Initially, this was described as “just an hour,” but in practice it could take 2–3 hours on both Saturday and Sunday.
The information regarding compensation for weekend work was also inconsistent. Colleagues told me that these hours were paid, but when I asked directly, I was told that weekend work was compensated by having a flexible schedule during the week. However, only after I announced my resignation was I offered paid compensation for future weekend work.
I also got the impression that HR did not have complete information about the actual working schedule of the team, the weekend workload, or the compensation arrangements for additional working time.
Such conditions should be communicated clearly before an employee joins the company
