For devs: If you're not working on legacy projects, the codebases are clean and easy to expand on. Continuous integration. Agile. Modern technologies. For any employee: Good benefits (insurance, pay, paid holidays, vacation) HR really cares about its employees Higher executives are transparent about the roadmap and what's to come for the company.

For devs: The decision making is sometimes slow in the product team or higher for the software. Priorities and roadmaps can change quickly. No paid overtime or accumulating in vacations. You either have to balance your 40h per week yourself (which is not a huge deal with flexible schedules) or do unpaid work.
