Paxton Media is cancer. This company is an absolute disgrace- a wretched, soul-sucking pit of misery and despair, and quite honestly, just needs to go out of business. Please don't waste years of your life working for this shameful organization. Management is uncaring and incompetent, working conditions are crap, employees are treated like second class citizens, and the wages are a joke. If you plan on working at Paxton Media, be advised- you will not receive a raise. Not. Ever. But don't worry- not getting a decent living wage isn't a sign that the company is struggling. On the contrary- Paxton has enough money to buy smaller privately-owned newspaper businesses all the time, spends hundreds of thousands of dollars installing broken and outdated equipment, but just doesn't seem to care enough about the well being of their employees to offer them decent wages. (Oh, and by the way, Paxton immediately fires the employees of the newspapers they buy, so if you're reading this review because your business was just purchased by the Paxton Media Group- Be afraid! Be very afraid!) Basically, don't expect to work for Paxton and make anywhere near a sustainable living wage at the same time, so just don't even bother with this company. There's no hope for any kind of bright, happy future with this place, you'll never receive a promotion, there's no room for advancement, and honest, hard work is never recognized or appreciated. The sad thing is that the management knows about these issues, knows their employees are deeply unhappy, yet does not seem to care and refuses to change these aspects that make people miserable. They drive away good, honest, and reliable employees by looking down upon them and treating them like scum, while at the same time refusing to get with the 21st century and create a better work environment suited for the next generation of potential employees. Please- just don't waste your life with this shameful company. There are much better options out there. (Oh, and also- if the building ever catches on fire and you happen to be inside at the time, don't expect management to show any urgency or concern for your safety and inform you that the building is on @&$!%@# fire! Your health and safety mean nothing to them.)
